I was excited to begin my journey at NLS, and my first month has been both engaging and enriching. As I reflect on my first month, I feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a dynamic and impactful organisation. I look forward to the months ahead, continuing to develop my expertise, building meaningful client relationships, and contributing to the invaluable work that NLS carries out every day.
From the moment I started, the team was incredibly welcoming and supportive, making me feel like a valued part of the firm. Any questions I had were met with patience and encouragement, ensuring I could integrate smoothly into the organisation
The onboarding process was thorough and thoughtfully structured. During my first week, I participated in an in-depth induction training facilitated by the HR team. This training equipped me with the knowledge and tools I needed to excel in my role, including hands-on guidance for using the firms case management system. The IT team was equally responsive and helpful, ensuring that any technical challenges were resolved promptly. By the end of my first week, I felt confident and ready to contribute effectively.
The culture at NLS encourages teamwork and open communication, making it easy to seek advice and share ideas. The firm places a strong emphasis on professional development.
As the weeks progressed, I began attending court hearings, which has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my role. Seeing the positive impact of our efforts, such as achieving positive outcomes for clients who were visibly relieved and grateful, has been immensely rewarding.
A key highlight of my first month has been the trust and responsibility entrusted to me. My supervisor has been instrumental in helping me build my caseload, providing referrals and offering valuable advice to navigate the challenges of my new role. This mentorship has not only helped me develop my skills but has also given me the confidence.
Looking back on my first month, I am incredibly grateful for the support at NLS. The experience has reaffirmed my passion for making a difference in people’s lives through family law. I look forward to continuing to grow in my role, deepening my expertise, and contributing further to the impactful work NLS undertakes every day.
