NLS are proud to announce that we have recently achieved re-accreditation with the Lexcel Practice Management Standard Version 6.1.
Awarded by the Law Society of England and Wales, this accreditation recognises excellence in legal practice management and client care.
This latest assessment took place in March and was conducted by Centre for Assessment.
Assessment highlights
- Structures and strategy: The Directors and the central support functions are highly regarded, and set the tone as exemplars of the desired culture throughout the business.
- Financial management: Financial (and other) management information is of a high standard and provides a basis for good decision making and improvement actions.
- People Management: Recent structure changes have the potential to be an effective means of developing individual capability as well as strengthening teams operationally.
- Risk Management: NLS’s commitment to continuous improvement means that practices and processes are constantly evolving.
- File and case management: file management is of a very high throughout the organisation.
Lead Assessor Roger Newman recorded that NLS “continues to apply Lexcel principles to a very high standard. There is excellent oversight and governance, high standards of risk and compliance management and policies and processes that effectively support this. The firm continues to demonstrate a culture of high quality work and client care throughout the business and there are strong and effective relationships at all levels.
The firm is inclusive and collaborative and communication structures are well established and effective, as are working relationships throughout the business. Career progression opportunities are available to all and there are many examples of people having benefited from those opportunities.
