Ayomide Abraham joined our team in October 2023, and here’s her perspective on her experience with us so far:
It’s been a month since I became a part of NLS, and the most common question I’ve been asked is, ‘How has it been?’ To be completely candid and without any intention to exaggerate, my experience has been exceptionally positive. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming, and I already feel like an integral part of the team. Starting at a new place can sometimes feel daunting, and I won’t deny that it was a bit nerve-wracking for me. However, on my very first day, my supervisor, Dexter, and the HR Advisor sent me a welcoming email, which immediately put me at ease.
After a brief training period, I was assigned to handle my first PLO matter. Meeting with the client filled me with excitement, and I dove into the work with enthusiasm. The client expressed her satisfaction with our representation, and her gratitude was a reminder of why I chose this profession. Of course, like with any case, drafting an outcome letter was on my to-do list. Once again, I approached this task with enthusiasm. As a trainee transitioning to a qualified role, I couldn’t help but question my own abilities. However, when I sent the draft to my supervisor, his response was not only encouraging but also boosted my confidence significantly.
As a new team member, it’s natural to have numerous questions, and at times, I worried about bothering my colleagues who are already busy with their own work. What I’ve discovered, is that everyone here is incredibly understanding and willing to take a moment to answer my questions.
I have high hopes that during my time at NLS, I will have the opportunity to grow and advance in my career. I’d like to express my gratitude to the management at NLS for giving me this chance, and I’m eagerly looking forward to being a part of this fantastic team.
