Miss Saliheen has assisted and supports many individuals and parents of individuals who were at risk of FGM including when those children were at risk of being abducted abroad to have the procedure.  The first step is to secure court orders to prevent the children being removed from the country and thereafter secure orders to prevent the FGM from taking place.

There are the unfortunate occasions when the children have been removed from the jurisdiction of England and Wales and the risk of FGM are identified.  Urgent steps can still be taken to secure the orders to prevent FGM from taking place, and the immediate return of the children.

Miss Saliheen has experience of working with agencies and government officials from foreign countries to ensure the safety of any individuals or children who are at risk of FGM and forced marriages
