We are looking for Family Paralegals nationwide.

National Legal Service is a well-established Legal Aid law firm specialising in Family and Children law, we pride ourselves on our extensive training and development of our employees and we are committed to fostering a workplace that is inclusive, respectful, and reflective in the diverse communities we serve.

As a Family Paralegal you will be managing your own caseloads under the supervision of your Supervisor, you will be dealing with a range of domestic abuse cases, injunctions and advocating for your clients in court.

 

The Role:

  • Initially managing own caseloads of injunction cases including:
    • Domestic Abuse
    • Non-Molestation Orders
    • Prohibited Steps Order
    • Occupation Order
  • Completing legal aid application forms and submitting through the CCMS portal
  • Advocacy experience – or a desire to do advocacy
  • Drafting witness statements
  • Completing court application forms
  • Compiling court bundles
  • Drafting client care letters

Requirements:

  • Family law experience
  • Experience of using CCMS and completing legal aid forms – Desirable
  • Drafting witness statements and client care letters – Essential
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
