Roles & Interests

I am a Bengali speaking Solicitor and I was the first child in my family to have attended University and graduated. It was always my mother’s dream to become qualified in the legal field, however, due to our culture she was married at a young age and prohibited from studying and pursuing her career aspirations. I therefore am the person that I am today, because of the support that I have received from both my parents who never failed to give up on me even when I wanted to give up.

I practice as a Family Solicitor, in particular dealing with clients who have been a victim of domestic abuse. I also deal with cases relating to Children Act Matters where either parent is seeking to have a child(ren) to live with them or to have contact arrangements in place for the non-resident parent. I am passionate about the work that I do, as I feel that I am able to understand and empathise with clients who are in a vulnerable situation requiring legal advice and assistance.

Life Before NLS

I was practicing as a solicitor in the family department, at a firm located in Birmingham. they had numerous offices located all around London, and i therefore supervised in the Birmingham office whilst assisting the head of the family department in dealing with any family law matters that were assigned to us. the work that I conducted at that particular firm, related specifically to urgent matters such as non molestation orders and children act proceedings.

Fun Fact

I am a big foodie and I have travelled to different cities to try different cuisine.

I have attended a pool party in Spain, where the selection of Mr Global was taking place. I have therefore met the contestants in person and also had a conversation with the winner of Mr Global 2016.
