Roles & Interests
I am a Supervising Solicitor in the Birmingham office. I practice exclusively in Family Law including disputes involving children and all types of protective injunctions.
I have extensive knowledge of working with those who have been subjected to sexual, physical and emotional abuse as well as neglect. My specialist knowledge has attracted significant media attention and I have provided commentary in the press on both national and regional televised news and radio.
I enjoy advocating at Court on behalf of my clients and regularly represent clients at all stages of proceedings. At the most stressful times it reassures clients to have a familiar person, with whom they already have a relationship with, speaking on their behalf.
I am passionate about my clients and providing the best service that I can. My focus is on providing the highest level of service, whatever my client’s circumstances. In relation to children matters I take a sensitive and child-focused approach.
Family Law suits my personality as I like to help people and be able to guide them through some of the most difficult times in their lives. It is a pleasure to be trusted by clients to play the important role of supporting them through their journey.
Aside from work, I am the Chair of the Board of Trustees for RSVP, a long standing and well respected specialist charity supporting survivors of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. I play a key role in ensuring the delivery of a number of objectives in line with RSVP’s values, missions and activities.
Life Before NLS
I qualified in 2015 having trained with Irwin Mitchell Solicitors for two years prior to this. I worked in Civil Child Abuse matters at Irwin Mitchell.
I am double jointed.
