Thakmina qualified as a Solicitor in 2013 having trained at a High Street firm. She specialises in cases concerning children and represents parents in a wide variety of private and public law cases.
Thakmina specialise in care proceeding and private law proceedings. Thakmina also has experience in all other areas of Family Law matters including domestic abuse cases, representing both applicants and respondents in non-molestation order and occupation order proceedings. She has also represented grandparent/s in care proceedings. Thakmina is conscious that often her clients first consult her when they are undergoing a very stressful and emotional period in their lives. She endeavours at all times to offer a sympathetic and supportive approach to clients and to ensure that she fully understand their needs and objectives in order to achieve the best possible outcome for them. Thakmina regularly undertakes her own advocacy representing clients at the family court before district judges, circuit judges and the magistrates.
