Some of our National Legal Service staff will take to the streets of York to walk 10 kilometres in support of local organisations providing advice and community services across the region.
We’re proud to be joining fellow legal professionals and supporters for the York Legal Walk on Wednesday 8th July 2026, raising funds for Citizens Advice York, North Yorkshire Citizens Advice & Law Centre and the President’s Charity, York Music Hub.
Representing National Legal Service this year are John Wilson, Laura Burke, Marcus Hulme and Julia Kulczewska, who will meet outside the Art Gallery on Exhibition Square at 5.15pm before setting off alongside others from across York and North Yorkshire.
Why We Are Walking
The York Legal Walk supports organisations that play an important role in helping individuals and families navigate difficult situations.
Citizens Advice York provides guidance to people facing a wide range of issues under the principle “Whoever you are, whatever the problem.” North Yorkshire Citizens Advice & Law Centre offers advice and legal support across the county. York Music Hub creates opportunities for children and young people to access music and creative development.
These services strengthen the local community and ensure that people can access trusted support when they need it.
Supporting the Cause
We are raising sponsorship for the organisations involved and if you’d like to support our team, donations can be made via our GoFundMe page:
After completing the 10km route, we will gather for refreshments at House of Trembling Madness on Lendal from 7.30pm.
We are proud of everyone taking part and grateful to those who choose to sponsor the team. Thank you for supporting National Legal Service and the 2026 York Legal Walk.
